Here at Steepwell Tea Company, sustainability is a top priority. We take thoughtful measures to ensure that we are minimizing our carbon footprint as much as possible. Recently, we’ve adopted a new practice to make Steepwell Tea even more eco-friendly – thermal printing.

We ditched our sticker creation process and opted for thermal printing on biodegradable labels. That’s right, our labels have no ink on them. Instead, we use a small, concentrated amount of heat to ‘burn’ onto blank labels. This is now a zero-waste process and removes harmful ink from your compost pile or even landfills! It also removes the waste created from ink refill bottles/packaging.

This means that our labels/stickers won’t have any color to them – they’ll just be black and white. We believe that our tea is so good, we don’t need a colorful, eye-catching label to keep our customers around. Enjoy a cup of our tea and when you’re finished with the package, throw it right into your composter 🙂
